Peace and Construction

C-N Tower in Toronto/ Canada in 554 meters height are the tallest tower of the world and the stadium next to the tower is the only movable ceiling stadium in the world which is built by benefiting from highly advanced technology and the creative mind of man. I selected this figure as one of the symbols of construction. I chose Olympic flag and the gatherings around it, and the five-petal white flower below it as the symbol of peace. The specifications and the full philosophy underlying this design along with the particulars and purpose of the designer and weaver are as follows:

1- Name: Peace and construction

2- Dimensions: 90 x 90 cm. Consumed materials: Cotton warping, 9 layer, high quality wool hair, seventy lines and half a million knot. Duration of design and weaving: sixteen months

3- Projection of tower top from carpet margin implies that science, technology and creative mind of man know no boundaries and are not in a specific forms and frames. Man as the greatest creature of the God, riding the wings of prosperity, is capturing universe in the light of his wisdom, knowledge and science and by each capture, he sees more of the eternal and endless power of God and becomes more eager and enthusiastic.

4- The chess-shape margins show the invitation of creative and constructive thoughts of the four corners of world that competes in line with the promotion of thought for betterment and improvement of the significance of civilization and life.

5- On the top, the Olympic flag sign matches the movable ceiling in Toronto in below and the gatherings around this flag indicates that all of us; that is, human being, in any places in the world must think to positive aspects for progressing the Olympic charter and peaceful goals and step in that path. We should put the negative aspects in the prison of the chamber of peace and honesty; that is, white color, to reach global peace and comfort.

6- Below the Olympic flag, there is a five-petal white flower that is the sign of hopes for peace in the five contents (earth) and the green globe inside the flower is earth. The branches, flowers and green lawns are symbols of nature and environment that all of us should try to keep because the life of humans and animals depend on saving it. Reaching such dream; that is, a green earth with beautiful nature is possible only through preventing destructive wars and establishing peace in the five continents of the earth (I want to introduce this symbol to the world as the symbol of peace), because while being simple, it contains significant characteristics that could be easily conceived by all people and in the first glance, it creates the dream of tranquility and watching a nature filled with greenness and beauty in human mind.

1- The figure of Canadian flag and land is the evidence that they both are inseparable with the territorial (and technologic sign which is specifying the other side) and are attached as inseparable elements. Such signs are abundantly found in the advanced and vast territory of Canada.

2- Sum ups that are shown in the middle by being inspired form natural colors, showing that positive factors in this country are increasing and the negative signs, shown as black spots inside white circles show that with wisdom and rationality, the factors of dispersion and shortage have been detained in the circle of peace.

3- The margins and chess pieces indicate the positive thought that governs that country and inviting other nations to compete in the paths of promotion and reinforcement of thought for making civilization and benefiting from better life.
